The Brickhouse Cakery is owned and operated by me--Deirdre. I am a stay-at-home mother of two avid cake fans!
My "training" began as a young child in my mom's kitchen. One of my earliest memories is of reading a recipe card to her while she cooked. Many afternoons were spent watching her mix up batter or frosting, then impatiently waiting for the decorating fun to begin!
Fast forward 21-odd years, and here I am doing my own baking, in my own kitchen, with my daughter. How time has flown!
Today, I bake out of my licensed home bakery in Schenectady, NY. Everything I make is from "the ground up" - using fresh, high-quality ingredients. No box cakes here! As a result, I can make any cake you want: organic, vegan, gluten-free, diabetic… special requests are most welcome!
